"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new" --Albert Einstein
Hello and Welcome
The information we share comes from three decades of experience in designing, building, and administering laser systems and programs around the world. We
have had the opportunity to perform clinical trials or education for virtually every
clinical laser and light-based technology manufacturer in the US and are delighted
to share our experiences with you. The program will be interactive and we hope and expect that you will take advantage to discuss any specific questions you
may have so both we and the other attendees can learn from the challenge.

About Our Course
Success with patient treatments and outcomes continually boils down to a few topics. The most common is 'how do I adjust the laser to get the best outcome for my patient going forward through the treatment series?' Users find themselves in a quandary when they need to step outside factory presets for the best outcome for the patient. What can be changed without complication to the patient? Is there a reason why the presets are chosen and which is the better component to change for this patient? Which makes more sense, a change in pulse time, energy level, cooling or even wavelength?

Just like any other prescription a physician will write, the selection of laser parameters, timing and frequency of treatments must be defined and explained. A physician will not say 'here is a bottle of pills now go take them'. Instead he will give a specific dosage, titrating it to the individuals needs.

Both new and experienced laser users ask how and why lasers do what they do and how to best use them. Most want the ability to better understand lasers and pulsed light. We provide a non-biased academic 'look behind the curtains' for the user to understand the same basics and advanced concepts of clinical use that manufacturer's use in development of these devices.

In all our years of academic training we find there are core questions from every user. We don't provide clinical answers; rather we do try to provide the building blocks of light tissue interaction for the user to better determine how they can come up with those answers.

The concept is simple, small interactive classes (no more than 20 attendees) with an eye on the endpoints, potential risks and what key components determine and influence those endpoints. With that in mind our attendees have been delighted with the two day course.

The course is great at any experience level, and in fact, most attendees learn best when the course mix is a little of all experience levels. We promote communication between the attendees and those discussions open doors to topics we, and they, never imagined. Manufacturers often spend time with the physician and staff on how to use a device. We concentrate on what the components of the usage are and help the course attendee better understand why. We appreciate you considering us as an educational option and believe that you will find the same successes with your clients that others have.
